Neutral Pelvis Neutral Spine
Visual support for Restorative Pilates UK clients to help them understand and embody the concepts of neutral spine and neutral pelvis during loaded or challenging studio work.
Neutral keeps the normal curves of the lower and mid back, avoiding extra strain from bending too much or arching. It lets deep stabilisers (transverse abdominis, multifidus, pelvic floor) act like an internal corset while glutes, hamstrings and quads provide power. Neutral alignment sends forces straight through the skeleton, cutting down on compensations and injury. Practising neutral under load builds strength, control and safer, better quality movement.
