Juliet Preston Cooper
Founder of Restorative Pilates UK
Juliet has spent over a decade working in 1:1 clinical movement therapy within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
Her practice is dedicated to the individual. She provides long-term, progressive condition management for:
Persistent back pain
Structural wear
Hypermobility (EDS)
Neurological conditions
Operating as a bridge in the healthcare landscape, Juliet steps in to provide the permanent supervised maintenance container after acute medical interventions conclude.
The Evolution of Movement
Juliet believes that Joseph Pilates would have continuously updated his methods to reflect modern bio-mechanical research. By merging his foundational principles with advanced science, she integrates precise, assessment-led Pilates with gentle neuromuscular therapy.
The Emmett Technique: Juliet applies a light touch to trigger deep neuromuscular relaxation. This gentle, responsive approach releases tension and calms nervous system hyper-vigilance without losing structural support.
A Trusted Partnership: This deeply individualised care has built a dedicated client base. Juliet serves as a bridge in the healthcare landscape, partnering with clients weekly for years to support their lifetime commitment to health and mobility.
"Contrology [Pilates] is not a system of haphazard exercises designed to produce only bulging muscles... The acquirement and enjoyment of physical well-being, mental calm and spiritual peace are priceless to their possessors." Joseph Pilates
